The Pleasure of Finding Things Out

Christian Hentrich will present a video document and lead the discussion.

"The 1981 Feynman Horizon is the best science programme I have ever seen. This is not just my opinion – it is also the opinion of many of the best scientists that I know who have seen the programme... It should be mandatory viewing for all students whether they be science or arts students."
Professor Sir Harry Kroto, Nobel Prize for Chemistry

Richard Feynman was one of the great physicists of the 20th century; his scientific books as well as his popular writing are, almost 20 years after his death, still bestsellers. In 1981, he gave a long interview to the BBC, discussing questions like: How does the scientist see the World? What does it mean to really understand something? How should you think? What does it mean too work on the atomic bomb?
